The god of cruelty and resurrection, Orcus is both a deity and a Demonlord of the Abyss. Seeking immortality during the First Agon, Orcus fought The Shepherd who charged itself with guarding the barrier between life and death. The fight left Orcus weakened, however, he managed to obtain the Shepherd’s Animus and ascend to godhood. In doing so, the Veil was left unguarded, making arcane magic and resurrection possible, and inadvertently starting the Golden Age.
