The primordial god of light and personification of the dawn, Lathander is the self-titled “King of the Gods”. He created angels, and for a long time battled in a “Blood War” with Pölark, until he was betrayed by Archangel Asmodeus, whom he threw from the heavens. Now, he is a member of The Triad, consisting of himself, Pölark, and Titania.
Lathander usually takes the physical form of an angel, however old religious texts often depict his literal description as that of the Sun or the morning. He is seen as a gracious god, however scornful at those who defy his almighty will.
In ancient times, Lathander was the patron god of the expanse of land now known as the Daymora Khaganate. With this piece of land being constantly under attack by titans and elementals, the people pleaded with Lathander to send them his aid. Lathander then created the Sun Drakes, the strongest of which being Daymora itself, and placed them upon the land to fight off the hordes of elementals. In modern times he is mostly worshipped in the Free Cities of the Impious Alliance, where religion is well removed from politics.
