The primordial god of blood, the Sanguine Lord is the patron god of Dreygaard. He was one of The Twelve Who Came Before and the Morteus Gods, but was killed by Asmodeus during the First Agon.
The Sanguine Lord is depicted as a cloaked god, with a crimson robe and four arms emerging from within. Two of the arms commonly hold a bowl in front of the figure (the Crimson Sacrament) while the other two point upward. As a cloaked god (not to mention a dead god), he has very limited communication with his followers, and as such much of his personality is portrayed by the leaders of his religion.
The Sanguine Lord was the second god to die during the First Agon, as Asmodeus killed him in order to end the Blood War between Pölark and Lathander.
